Welcome to the Georgia Pickleball Association 4th Annual Monster Mash & Bash. This year the tournament will be held at the House of Pickleball (HOP) in Newnan, GA.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday Oct 28th Mens & Womens Doubles
Sunday Oct 29th Mixed Doubles.
Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.
All matches will be governed by USA Pickleball rules. Paddles must be on the USA Pickleball Approved Paddle list.
Please check in at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start times.
The format for play is as follows: Note (all games are win by 2 and each team will have ONE 60 second timeout per game).
4 TEAM BRACKET - Round Robin Games to 15. All teams advance to medal bracket. #1 and #4 team play and #2 and #3 play one game to 15. Winners advance to GOLD Medal match and play 2 out of 3 games to 11. Losers advance to BRONZE Medal Match and play one game to 15.
5 TEAM BRACKET - Round Robin Games to 15. #1 and #2 from Round Robin play for GOLD 2 out of three games to 11. #3 and #4 from Round Robin play for BRONZE one game to 15.
6 TEAM BRACKET - Round Robin Games to 15. #1 and #2 from Round Robin play for GOLD 2 out of three games to 11 win. #3 and #4 from Round Robin play for BRONZE one game to 15.
7 TEAM BRACKETS - Round Robin Games to 11. #1 and #2 from Round Robin play for GOLD 2 out of three games to 11 win. #3 and #4 from Round Robin play for BRONZE one game to 15.
8 TEAM BRACKETS – Brackets broken into 2 pools. Each pool will play round robin games to 15. After pool play, all teams are seeded based on pool play results. All teams advance to single elimination draw that is seeded by the results from Round Robin these games are to 15. GOLD Medal match 2 out of 3 games to 11. BRONZE Medal match one game to 15.
9 TEAM BRACKETS - Brackets broken into 2 pools, 1 pool of 4 teams and 1 pool of 5 teams. Both pools will play round robin games to 15. After pool play, top four teams from each pool advance to single elimination draw that is seeded by the results from Round Robin these games are to 15. GOLD Medal match 2 out of 3 games to 11. BRONZE Medal match one game to 15.
10 TEAM BRACKETS – Brackets broken into 2 pools. Each pool will play round robin games to 15. After pool play, all teams are seeded based on pool play results. All teams advance to single elimination draw that is seeded by the results from Round Robin these games are to 15. GOLD Medal match 2 out of 3 games to 11. BRONZE Medal match one game to 15.
11 TEAM BRACKETS – Brackets broken into 2 pools, 1 pool of 5 teams and 1 pool of 6 teams. Pool of 5 teams will play games to 15 and pool of 6 teams will play games to 15. After pool play, top two teams from each pool advance to playoffs playing one game to 15. Winners advance to GOLD Medal match 2 out of 3 games to 11 and losers will play for BRONZE medal one game to 15.
12 TEAM BRACKETS - Brackets broken into 2 pools of 6 teams. Each pool will play round robin games to 15. After pool play, top two teams from each pool advance to playoffs playing one game to 15. Winners advance to GOLD Medal match 2 out of 3 games to 11 and losers will play for BRONZE medal one game to 15.
You can follow the entire tournament on your phone. Go to pickleballbrackets.com. Login. Go to the tournament. Click draws and results. Then click on your bracket.
We use a text message system to run the tournament efficiently. You will receive 3 texts for each match.
1st Text - Match is in the queue. Get ready to play. As soon as we have a court available it will be time to play,
2nd Text - You have been assigned a court! One player from each team needs to report to the tournament desk. You will then go play your match, After your match, return the basket with balls and scorecard to the tournament desk,
3rd Text - The score of your match - please make sure we entered it correctly!
Please do us a favor and keep all bags outside of the courts. Players may bring a paddle, drink, and towel onto the courts.

RATINGS
- Georgia Pickleball Association ratings will be used.
- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.
- Players who do not have a GPA or PickleballBrackets.com rating but do have an official USAPA UTPR ratings MUST self rate using their UTPR rating.
-Players with a UTPR that is higher than their Georgia Pickleball Association calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Selecting that you "need a partner" allows other players to see that you are available to play in the tournament. We do our best to introduce players that need partners, but this selection does not mean that the tournament will find a partner for you. It is still your responsibility to find a partner.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.
Registration fee is $55 and includes one event. Additional Events are $10. Participants may play in up to 2 events as long as the events take place on different days.
