***A team must play at the skill level of the higher-rated player***
Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have registered and paid all fees in full. Once you register, your partner must register within 7 days.
Each bracket will play a Round Robin format; your team will play one match against every other team in your bracket.
Each match will be one game to 11, win by 2. Each game is allotted 20 minutes. At the end of 20 minutes, the team with the highest score wins. If a tie exists at the end of 20 minutes, the last-serving team serves one additional point …. The winner of that point wins the game.
After Round Robin is completed, the four teams with the highest number of games won will proceed to a playoff round. The first and second highest-scoring teams will play one game to determine the Gold and Silver medals, and the third and fourth highest-scoring teams will play one game to determine the Bronze medal.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for each division; awards will be presented after each division after the games have been tabulated. ***In the event of a tie, the IPF Standard will be used to determine the winner: (1) the number of head-to-head wins for the first tiebreaker, (2) the point differential for all games for the second tiebreaker, (3) head-to-head point differential as the third tiebreaker, and (4) point differential against the next highest team as the fourth tiebreaker.
***As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets and/or age divisions as needed if brackets do not fill. Also, all start times are subject to change as brackets might be merged or split based on event registration***
***At the time of registration, you must agree to the terms of the Accident Waiver and Release of Liability form. Your parent or guardian must sign this form if you are a minor. You can request a form to be emailed to you by emailing mgallant@thegeorgiaclub.com***
