TOURNAMENT UPDATE 8/3 AT 8.30AM
Rain is upon us (light but enough to soak the courts) but positive signs ahead.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE 8/2 at 7:15pm
We managed to complete the singles divisions before the rain came, and we are hopeful for a pushed back forecast for Doubles tomorrow morning.
9.30am start for all divisions weather permitting. An email will go out at 8am approximately with any weather updates (I understand some are driving quite far for the tournament, but we are of course dealing with tricky weather conditions.
The Stratton Open returns for it's second year bigger and better than before!

Age Groups: 18U, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+

Format
All doubles brackets will be Round Robin. Based upon the bracket size, the games will be 1-15 points, winning by 2, or Best 2/3-11 points, winning by 2. In a Round Robin format, each team plays every other team in that bracket at least once. For example, in a bracket with eight teams, each team will play seven games.
All brackets are limited to a minimum of three teams and a maximum of eight teams which will play as follows:
-- Brackets with 3 or 4 teams will play a double Round Robin to 15 points.
-- Brackets with 5 teams will play a single Round Robin to 15 points.
-- Brackets with 6, 7, or 8 teams will play a single Round Robin to 11 points.
All singles brackets will be single elimination.
All brackets are formed first by Skill Level, and then by Age
The Tournament Director reserves the right to merge brackets when there is an insufficient number of players within a bracket to make for meaningful play. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to change the format should circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, necessitate expediency. However, medals will be awarded for merged age brackets.
For example, assume that for Skill Level 3.0 there are two teams for Age Group 60+, and three teams for Age Group 70+. If the Tournament Director chooses to combine the two age groups into one bracket, only a single set of Comprehensive Medals will be awarded.
Other Notes:
1. The registration fee includes a souvenir tournament tee-shirt.
2. Individual events (such as mixed doubles) can be added to the registration for a separate fee.
3. This is an outdoor tournament with no back-up dates. Thus, each registrant assumes
the risk that adverse weather could create scheduling delays, abbreviated play, or
