Welcome to the 2024 Pueblo El Mirage Kokopelli Klassic Tournament!

Tournament Dates: February 10 – 13, 2024.
• February 10th (Saturday): Women’s Double’s - 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
• February 11th (Sunday): Mixed Doubles - 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0
• February 12th (Monday): Men’s Doubles - 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
• February 13th (Tuesday): Mixed Doubles - 3.0 & 3.5
Age Groups: 35-50, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ Age as of 12/31/24.
Full Sanctioned USA Pickleball Tournament with Certified Referees for every match.

Registration Dates:
Opens: Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 4:00 PM (AZ standard time)
Closes: Friday, January 26, 2024 11:55 PM (AZ standard time)
Cancellation Deadline: Friday, January 26, 2024 11:55 PM (AZ standard time)
Costs:
• Registration Fee: $75 (includes registration, all events, and referee fees)
• Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fee: $5 per event, capped at $10
• --$5 discount for Pueblo El Mirage club members--
Doubles Teams: You may register to hold a spot in an event, but your partner must register within 3 days to secure your spot. Your space in the event is not secure until both team partners have registered and paid.
***Skill Rating Requirement (Updated 11/14/23) *** FOR THE FIRST DAY OF REGISTRATION 11/14/2023
One member of your doubles team must have a USA Pickleball skill rating that matches the skill level of the event you are registering for, and one team member may play up in level. Example: if you wish to play in a 3.5 event, you must have a UTPR of 3.5 to be allowed to register for this event, and your partner may play up in level. BEGINNING 11/15/23 AT 12:05 A.M. AZ time: THE SKILL RATING REQUIREMENT WILL BE LIFTED.
WE HAVE TRADITIONALLY USED STAGGERED REGISTRATION TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO GET INTO THE EVENT THAT THEY HAVE A SKILL RATING FOR. THIS OPTION WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THIS IS OUR WAY TO EQUITABLY ACHIEVE THIS OUTCOME.***
USA Pickleball Membership is required to be active through February 13, 2024. If you need to join or renew your membership, visit usapickleball.org BEFORE you try to register.
Format: Double Elimination*
*Specific format to be determined based on number of registrants, teams and matches per event. We are exploring different round robin formats to optimize player experience. Round Robin formats will be added as needed. The Tournament Director reserves the right adjust format or to combine brackets when there aren't enough teams to create an event.
If combined brackets all skill levels will be awarded individually.
Additional Information
Parking is free for players and spectators.
Use the entrance off of Cactus Rd for the Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course & Pickleball Courts. This entrance is east of the intersection of N El Mirage Rd & Cactus Rd.
Do NOT follow your GPS as it may take you to the wrong gate of the resort. See additional driving instructions under the Venue heading.
Snacks and water will be provided to players. Please bring your own water bottle to refill.

Refund Policy
No refunds for cancellations after 01/26/24, or for events cancelled due to inclement weather.*
All cancellations on or before 01/26/24 are subject to a $10 cancellation fee, plus non-refundable Pickleball Brackets (PB) event fees. Players on the waitlist, and not confirmed for any events, will receive a full refund, less PB event fees. Players who withdraw after the registration deadline may transfer their registration fee to a replacement player upon request.
*In the event there is a major impact to the tournament due to inclement weather, the Tournament Director and the Pueblo El Mirage Pickleball Club board, will determine if concessions can be made for players who did not get to play in any events.

Parking is located next to the Pickleball Courts. No overnight parking is allowed.
DIRECTIONS to Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course & Pickleball Courts and parking:
• From the North at Grand Ave and Bell Rd:
- Take Litchfield Rd (Intersects Bell Rd west of Grand Ave) south to CACTUS RD and turn east. Go past
El Mirage Rd and Turn RIGHT into Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course and Pickleball Courts entrance.
• From the West, Loop 303:
- Take CACTUS RD exit and drive east. Go past El Mirage Rd and Turn RIGHT into Pueblo El Mirage
Golf Course and Pickleball Courts entrance.
• From the East, Loop 101:
- Take Olive or Northern West to El Mirage Rd, and drive North PAST the main entrance to the resort.
Turn RIGHT at CACTUS RD and, then take another RIGHT into Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course and
Pickleball Courts entrance
• From the South, I-10:
- Take Loop 101 North, and take exits for Olive or Northern; head West to El Mirage Rd. Turn Right
and drive North PAST the main entrance to the resort. Turn RIGHT at CACTUS RD and, then take
another RIGHT into Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course and Pickleball Courts entrance
Health & Safety
Head injury policy: ANY PLAYER SUSTAINING A HEAD INJURY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RESUME PLAY UNTIL A WRITTEN MEDICAL RELEASE (signed by a licensed medical professional) IS RECEIVED. There are no exceptions.
No Pet Policy: No dogs or pets are permitted at the venue for player and spectator safety. Strictly enforced by resort management.
