The 2024 Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament is open to Saskatchewan residents only in the 2.5-4.0 skill levels.
Proof of residency must be supplied at the time of check-in. Any of the following are acceptable documents to prove residency:
- Valid Provincial Driver's License
- Valid Provincial Health Care Card
- Provincial Identification Card
The 4.5 and above skill levels are open to all Pickleball Canada members. Note: All out-of-province players will need to contact the Tournament Director to register.
Registration will be considered complete when both players are registered, and payment is made. If payment is not made in 5 days, you will be moved to the Wait List.
The Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament will be skill and age based and will be played indoors on 15 courts. This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned Tier II tournament that will use GPF rules.
Registration for residents of Saskatchewan will open on March 22, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Cost to enter will include the $55 Registration fee plus $20 for each event entered. Players may enter a maximum of 3 events and may only enter one doubles, one mixed doubles and one singles event (one event per day).
Registration must be completed online at www.pickleballbrackets.com. If you have a partner, choose 'I Have' and select him/her or select 'I Need' a partner.
This is a sanctioned tournament, so if you are currently not a member of Pickleball Canada, you must take out/renew your membership before your registration will be considered complete.
The official tournament ball is the yellow Franklin X40 Outdoor ball.

FORMAT:
The current Global Pickleball Federation rules will apply.
Players must be 10 years of age or older any time in 2024 in order to compete.
Age brackets: 10-49, 50-59, 60-69. 70+. Your tournament age is the age you will become in 2024.
Age brackets will be combined if the number of entries does not support separating brackets by age.
All singles events for ages 60 and above will use the mini-singles format.
Large events will be double elimination with each match being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 on the “A” side of the draw. On the “B” side of the draw each match will consist of one game to 15. Players are guaranteed three games. All games are win by 2.
Small events will be round robin with medal rounds.
The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.
Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.
If this is the first time you will participate in a tournament which uses the Pickleball Brackets system, give careful thought to the skill levels you recorded in your Player Profile. These skill levels plus .250 will be the starting point for your tournament rating calculation. Participants may play up a skill level (.5) or down in age at the discretion of the tournament director. The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations. Any concerns can be directed to the tournament committee at provincials@pickleballregina.ca.
Level 1 Referees will be compensated $7 per match; Level 2 Referees $10 per match; Certified Referees $15 per match. Volunteer referees with the appropriate training are also encouraged to referee, space permitting. The signup on Pickleball Desk for the 2024 Provincial Tournament is now open:

Refund Policy

Cancellations will be accepted until May 24, 2024 at 12:00 pm with a full refund less a $15 administration fee. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded any fees.
