Tournament Description

Due to weather constraints, THE TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Saturday, March 2, 2024, 8am - 5pm - Men's and Women's Doubles
Sunday, March 3, 2024, 8am - 5pm - Mixed Doubles
16 tournament courts with painted lines and portable nets. Includes two pickleball courts for practice and warm up. Time is allowed before each bracket starts to practice and warm up.
This will be a round robin tournament with combinations of skill and age. All matches are one game to 15, win by 2 points.
- Registration will be by skill level only.
- Brackets will be grouped by age with 6 to 8 teams per round robin bracket.
- You will be able to play 5 to 7 games. There will be no medal rounds.
Brackets will be assigned designated courts for the entire bracket. Teams will return to the tournament desk after their bracket has been completed to determine winners and present awards.
- 5 Teams, 2 courts, 1 team has a bye each round
- 6 Teams, 3 courts, no team has a bye each round *NEW* 10 minute break after round 3 for all teams
- 7 Teams, 3 courts, 1 team has a bye each round *NEW* 10 minute break after round 3 for all teams
- 8 Teams, 4 courts, no team has a bye each round *NEW* 10 minute break after round 3 for all teams
Skill levels are: 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+
**** USA Pickleball members with an official skill level rating, must register for that level or higher on date of registration.
**** Current Pickleball Bracket ratings will be used first, then UTPR, then self rating. Sand bagging is not ethical; enough said. Please register in your appropriate skill division.
**** We do not use DUPR ratings as we have no easy way to cross-reference registered players with possible DUPR ratings. Tournament results will not be reported to DUPR.
Age groups will be based on registrations. We will assign bracket age groups in February so brackets will be 6 to 8 teams.

**** Age is calculated as of 12/31/2024.
**** SKILL NOTE: You will see all the skill divisions you are eligible to play in. Pay close attention to the division you are registering for to be sure it's the correct choice. Example: a 3.5 player will see choices: 3.5, 4.0+ because the team can play up in skill level.
**** AGE NOTE: You will NOT see any age divisions. They will be posted after registration is closed and teams will be grouped by age and limited to brackets of 5 to 8 teams (e.g. 62-65.)
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player.
For age divisions, a team must play at the age of the younger player.
You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within two days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the two day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both players have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list if there is an available slot to move to AND both players have registered and paid.
Partners will not be sought or assigned by the tournament, you will have to select your own partner. Players needing a partner will be shown on this website by event.
Selected matches may have referees. If one is requested, we will do the best we can to find one.
Tournament format is subject to change as necessary by the Tournament Director.
Player skill levels are subject to adjustment by the Tournament Director based on past performance.

Additional Information

Registration is $50 and includes up to 2 events. Shirts are not included in the registration fee but can be purchased separately during registration for $25 each using this Shirts can be order using this link. All shirts must be selected and paid for by 1/31/2024 and are not guaranteed for registrations after this date.

There is a non-refundable PickleballBrackets.com software use fee of $5 for each event that will be applied to every registration. This fee is collected by PickleballBrackets.com and not the tournament.
**** Late registration is $60 and starts February 1, 2024.

Registration and payment is online through this website only prior to the tournament. There are no paper registrations or same day registrations at the tournament. Last minute substitutions for injuries, etc. may be possible.

Payment is made through the PayPal portal. You do not have to have a PayPal account and can pay as a PayPal guest. You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express cards that have a registered billing address to make PayPal payments. PayPal only supports bank debit cards issued by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
**** Non-players may also register for free to volunteer or referee.
Water and snacks will be provided by the tournament for players. There are restrooms adjacent to the courts. Don't forget to bring your own chairs, shade, and sunscreen.
Unlike previous tournaments, there will be NO on-site RV camping options for this one.

Refund Policy

NONE. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We appreciate your donations to to benefit the youth organizing and volunteering at the tournament! Programs include Q.I. Roberts Jr./Sr. High School Interact and Palatka Jr./Sr. High School Football. Thank you in advance!

If the tournament is cancelled due to COVID restrictions or directives from government authorities, we will refund your registration fees less any prorated incurred expenses.
This is an outdoor event and subject to delays and/or cancellations due to unforeseen events. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs, the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket can be finished or if winners can be determined. There are no refunds for these actions and we do not have any alternate dates.

Parking Fee: No Fee
Plenty of free parking on site before you get to the pickleball courts. The north lot is for players. The south lot is for staff, volunteers, and referees.

Weather

The weekend weather forecast calls for wet weather making it too dangerous to play pickleball on outdoor courts. We hope all players understand it's in their best interest to cancel the tournament.

Health & Safety

COVID-19 policy will comply with state requirements. Spectators are allowed off the courts and should maintain social distancing. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4F or 38.0C or higher will not be able to remain at the venue.
