Welcome to the 2024 Bluegrass State Games Pickleball Tournament!

This year, we are adding a series of dedicated Men's and Women's 65+ events on Friday morning (subject to sufficient registrations.) Teams with both players age 65 or over can choose to play in the dedicated 65+ event on Friday morning, or they can play in the Sunday skill level events. They will not be able to play in both. Men's and Women's skill level events on Sunday will still be split by age, but there may not be enough in the 65+ category to have a separate event; if you choose to play on Sunday, you will play against younger players.

Men's and Women's Singles will begin on Friday afternoon (7/26). Mixed Doubles will play on Saturday (7/27). Men's and Women's Doubles (all ages) will play on Sunday (7/28).

Men's, Women's, and Mixed Doubles events will be a Round Robin with a minimum of four teams advancing to a Single Elimination finals. Advancement will be determined by win-loss record. Ties will be resolved by head-to-head record, point differential, total points scored, and coin flip, in that order. If a team withdraws during round robin play without completing all matches, their previous matches will be voided for the purposes of determining which teams advance from the pool. Singles events will be Double Elimination. The tournament reserves the right to modify this format.

Paddle statement: The Bluegrass State Games will be following USAP rules. This includes players not using unapproved paddles. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note: Women's and Men's Doubles will be played on Sunday this year. Mixed doubles will be played on Saturday.

With apologies, pets are strictly prohibited on the grounds at Spindletop. This rule is imposed by the venue, not the tournament directors or Bluegrass Sports Commission. Trained service animals are allowed.

Food will be available for purchase at the Barn and the Tiki Hut. Outside food vendors are not permitted.

No refunds for withdrawals after July 19, 2024. In the event of rescheduling due to weather, no refunds will be given to players that cannot make the new date.

In the event of weather delays or other unforeseen circumstances, event format may be modified. No refunds will be given based on displeasure with the modified format.

An athletic trainer will be on-site to assist with injuries and illnesses.
