Tournament Description
Welcome to the 2023 Tennacity Pride Pickleball Tournament located in the City of West Hollywood Thank you for checking out our vibrant summer tournament! To honor our celebration of Pride Month we are hosting a series of events for players (June 24 -25) of all skill levels, promising plenty of PICKLEBALL ACTION!!! We have have pledged to donate tournament proceeds and present a check at the tournament to Point Foundation (the nation's largest scholarship granting and mentorship organization for LGBTQ+ students, a 501c3 empowering LGBTQ+ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential).
Currently, we will only be able to host a maximum of 120 total players for this tournament. Players of all skill levels are welcome to register! We will have special guests, speakers, music, and vendor booths. A viewing area for fans and players will be brought in for spectators. All players registered players will receive a gift bag. Water and fruit will be provided. Snacks are available for purchase in the shop at Plummer Park. We encourage players to bring hydration and additional nutritional snacks. Feel free to invite friends and family to cheer you on and celebrate Pride Month!
Tournament Dates:
Saturday June 24th: Men's and Women's Doubles Events
Sunday June 25th: Men's and Women's Singles, Mixed Doubles Events

Sign Ups:
Players may sign up for a maximum of 3 events and only one skill level per category for the singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions. (see additional information)
Draws:
All brackets and start times will be posted online 2 days prior to the tournament with your start times. Each event is estimated to last between 2-4 hours.
Locations:
We have 2 locations for the tournament: Plummer Park and West Hollywood Park. Men's and Women's Novice doubles events will take place on Saturday June 24 at West Hollywood Park. All other events will take place at Plummer Park unless both sites are needed to accommodate draw size.
Medals:
Medals will be awarded (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) for the top 3 finishers in all event categories.
Gift Bags:
Gift Bags will be provided to all players at check in.
Age Limit:
18+ for all categories.

Tournament Format:
Novice events will be a round robin format with medal matches. All other skill level events will be a standard double elimination format. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. The format may be altered depending on the amount of signups for each event.
Novice Events (3.0-below)
All novice events will be a round robin format with medal matches. Players and teams will play a game to 11 win by 2 against multiple teams/players. The two players/teams with the most victories will compete in the gold/silver final in a game to 15 win by 2. 3rd and 4th place players in the round robin will compete for the bronze medal in a game to 15 win by 2. Singles and Doubles events will be limited 16 singles players or 16 teams for doubles. (The scoring is subject to change depending on the number of entrants - we may allow for longer games with notably less entrants).
Intermediate and Advanced Doubles and Mixed Doubles Events (3.5-4.0, 4.5-above)
Standard double elimination format. Main draw competitors will play 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2). Players who lose in the main draw will enter into the elimination bracket and compete in a game to 15. Winners advance. Winners in the elimination bracket will have a chance to compete in a medal match. Draw size for these events are currently limited to 16 teams for doubles and 16 players for singles. Depending on the amount of sign ups in the novice events we may be able to add players on the waitlist. If there are 8 or fewer players/teams in an event, we will alter the format to a round robin to allow for more matches.
Singles Events (3.5-4.0, 4.5 -above)
Players will play games to 15 win by 2 against multiple players. Skill Level Description:
Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories are divided into 3 categories of skill levels. Players may sign up for one skill level event per category. Please sign up for the appropriate skill level. Players are welcome to play in higher levels, however higher level players who sign up for lower skill levels may be moved into the appropriate skill category. Doubles Events
Doubles players are encouraged to sign up with a partner however if you do not have a partner please select the option "looking for a partner" during the sign up process and we will attempt to pair you with another available player.
Disclaimer:
The format may be altered depending on the amount of sign ups for each event. The goal is to get as many matches as possible in a competitive format.
Pricing:
45$ per player for the first event. $15 for each additional event. (Included in this price is a one time 5$ fee paid to Pickleball Brackets)
Refund Policy
Cancellation Policy
The cancellation deadline for a refund is May 31,2023. There will be no exceptions.
If you cancel before the cancellation date you will receive a refund minus a $15 admin fee which includes our fee to Pickleball Brackets.com
If the tournament is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances credit may be issued for future tournaments or rescheduling through Tennacity. Event proceeds are going to Point Foundation. Thanks for your understanding!
Price: $45 registration fee includes one event. A $5 charge is included in that price from PickleballBrackets.com. Each additional event is $15.

Parking Information
Parking Fee: Yes
Parking is available in the lot across from the Pacific Design Center. The Pickleball Courts are located on the rooftop of the parking lot at 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. Take the elevator to the 6th floor to enter the playing area.
Health & Safety
Only players competing in designated tournament matches are allowed on the playing courts. Viewing areas for spectators will be available on site. Hydration (water) will be provided. Players are encouraged to bring additional hydration and nutritional items. On site trainer not provided.
