Join us in our second year of our Annual Medina Rotary Pickleball Tournament, held on ten beautiful outdoor courts!

Our Tournament is an event to raise funds for the Rotary Club. The funds raised help us support various projects and families in the Medina area.

This is a two-day tournament with five events: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Each event will initially be round robin and broken into three separate pools based on rating: Beginner (up to and including 3.0), Intermediate (3.5 to 4.0) and Advanced (4.5 and up).

In the Doubles events the team will be placed in the pool based on the higher player rating.

If enough players sign up for one pool then that pool may be separated into two or more pools, with the winners from each pool (and possibly the 2nd-place finisher) going into the playoffs to determine the medal winners.

This tournament is open to everyone.

Each round-robin game will be one game to 11, win by 2.

Matches in the playoffs will be one game to 15, win by 1.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify event formats as needed based on the number of registrations. This includes merging or splitting events and changing the scoring format.

This year our tournament will be using skill level ratings and the website www.PickleballBrackets.com.

A player may use their PIckleballBrackets.com rating if they have one. A player may also use their UTPR rating, or a self-rating. A self-rating may be determined by using the following website: Self-Rating Website

Players must have an account on PickleballBrackets.com prior to entering the tournament.

Players may also join our club on PickleballBrackets.com: “Rotary Club of Medina NY” (but it is not required).

When registering as a team both partners have four days to register or the team will be put on the waiting list.

There is a $20 fee to enter the tournament, and a $10 cost per event entered. Payment may be made using the following options:

• PayPal

• Credit Card

• Mail in Payment. The player will officially be registered when payment is received.

The tournament will be held at the tennis courts of Medina High School. Because the tournament is on school grounds please remember to follow these rules:

• No smoking

• No alcohol

• No cursing or abusive language

• Respect the other players

The school building will not be open. Port-a-potties (designated as “Men” and “Women”) will be onsite.

This event is a fundraiser. If for some reason the tournament cannot proceed, or a player entered after the brackets were filled, then that player will have the option of (1) donating the registration and entry fees, (2) using the fees toward a future pickleball tournament, or (3) requesting a refund.
