The Parkland Pickleheads presents the 11th Annual Summer Smash Tournament.

Tournament Dates: July 28-30, 2023

Registration Opens: May 22th, 2023 @ 7pm

Registration Closes: July 17th, 2023 @ 7pm

This is a Pickleball Canada SANCTIONED tournament.

Details are as follows:

- Entry Fee: $70.00/player which includes 1 event

- Second Event is $15.00. Prices include GST.

BRACKET FORMATS:

1-3 Teams - Combined with another bracket(s) if possible

4-6 teams - Round Robin 1 game to 15, win by 2, based on circumstances (ex. time, weather)

7+ teams - Traditional double-elimination bracket (matches are best 2/3 to 11 on the “A” side of the draw, win by 2). On the “B” side of the draw, each match will consist of 1 game to 15, win by 2.

- Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.

- Tournament Ball will be the outdoor yellow Franklin X-40.

** Please ensure you are familiar with the new player/referee rules for 2023**

**The tournament director reserves the right to add, combine, modify, or cancel skill levels/events pending registration numbers. Events can also be rescheduled/cancelled as needed pending weather and other outside influences beyond our control (ie. Covid restrictions).**

A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 5 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the WaitList.

***YOUR PLAYER PROFILE- should have "Receive in game text messages" checked to "YES" AND Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. FAILURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR GAMES WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT***

• All participants must be members of Pickleball Canada.

• Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner

• Participants will be allowed to enter at their current or higher Pickleball Canada skill rating as of the date of registration.

If you are not rated, consult with other players and visit the Pickleball Canada website for rating information.

Player requested withdrawals will be accepted until Wednesday, July 17th, 2023 at 7pm, with a full refund less $15 administration fee.

After July 17th, 2023 at 7pm, no refunds will be provided. NO EXCEPTIONS!

PLEASE NOTE: This is an outdoor event with no make-up date. In the event of inclement weather that requires the cancellation of any events, a refund is NOT available. If events are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the event may be finished or if winners may be determined.
