The Pickle Jar "Rally for a Cause" Round Robin format pickleball tournament in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey will be an exciting and competitive event to kick off 2024 for pickleball players of all skill levels. The tournament will be held between February 16th and February 18th at The Pickle Jar indoor facility in Hillsborough Township, NJ.
The Pickle Jar, a new state-of-the-art pickleball club, offers 8 climate controlled, individually enclosed luxurious courts with technologic enhancement to make every game your best. An inviting players lounge, including a pro shop stocked with the latest and greatest gear, and interactive features to keep players entertained before or after sessions. We are confident your first visit will not be your last.
Friday February 16th : Men's & Women's Singles, Men's Skinny Singles & Women's Skinny Singles
Saturday February 17th : Men's & Women's doubles 19+ 50+
Sunday February 18th : Mixed doubles 19+ 50+ & Co-ed Split age division
Skill levels are (2.5 to 5.0+) and age (19-49, 50+) brackets.
$65 registration includes a tournament shirt and medals/prizes for winners.
Amateur singles, doubles and mixed doubles skill/age events are $20 each.
Open brackets, shootout and co-ed split age events are $30 each.

Registrations will not be accepted after the registration deadline. No changes will be made to the draw afternoon on Feb 9th 2024. This includes, but is not limited to, partnerships and moving between age groups/divisions/levels.
Format/Rules
"ALL EVENTS WILL FOLLOW ROUND ROBIN FORMAT"
Doubles Events:
Round Robin format will be followed for divisions . Divisions with 1 to 3 teams will be combined with another division at our discretion, however we will not combine skill levels or run a draw with less than 4 entrants, unless absolutely necessary.
Round Robin format for pool play will be 1 game to 11 win by 2 cap @ 13.
Round Robin format for playoffs and medal rounds will be 1 game to 15 win by 2 cap @ 17.
The Tournament Director/Committee reserves the right to make changes to any bracket/divisions format at any time.
You must play at the skill level of the higher rated player, or above. If you are not rated, we reserve the right to move you to a higher bracket if we deem it appropriate. Where age is used to form brackets, it is the age of the younger partner.

For key points of the 2023 USA Pickleball rules read the documents @ https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/ . However, as a player, you are responsible for being familiar with the rules in their entirety.
We staff and plan the event based on the number of registrations. For any unforseen circumstances if the tournament had to be cancelled or re-schedueled players would be fully refunded the registration cost minus the service fee charged by Paypal/Stripe/pickleball brackets.
Withdrawal policy:
Any player who withdraws prior to registration deadline will also be charged a $5.00 withdrawal fee. There will be no refund for any withdrawals after January 31 2024 .
PS: Pickleball Brackets fees and Paypal /Stripe fees are non refundable for withdrawals before Jan 31st 2024.
The prize money will be split between the open brackets, proportional to the number of players registered. The open brackets will use the 100% of open bracket event fee of $30 per player to fund the prize money. Payouts will be 55% going to gold, 30% going to silver and 15% going to bronze. Total prize money depends on the number of players registering for each open bracket. Assuming these number of open players/teams the payout would be:
20 Doubles Teams - Total $1200, 1st $660, 2nd $360, 3rd $180 (per team)
There will be medals/prizes/gifts for all "amateur bracket winners" including co-ed splitage event winners.
We don't anticipate any weather-related tournament disruption since this tourney will be hosted indoors.
