Tournament Overview
When: Events will run all day (approximately 7am - 10pm)
Where: Cranky Pickle, New Braunfels, Texas
Bracket Formats: All amateur play will be round robin (pool play) with playoffs for top teams.
Tournament Schedule
Saturday, May 10th:
- 9am: Men's Doubles 4.0
- 9am: Men's Doubles 4.5
- 9am: Men's Doubles 5.0+ ($400 cash prize)
- 9am: Women's Doubles 4.0+ ($200 cash prize)
- 1pm: Women's Doubles 3.0
- 1pm: Women's Doubles 3.5
Sunday, May 11th:
- 9am: Mixed Doubles 3.0
- 9am: Mixed Doubles 3.5
- 9am: Mixed Doubles 4.0
- 9am: Mixed Doubles 4.5+ ($200 cash prize)
- 1:30pm: Men's Doubles 3.0
- 1:30pm: Men's Doubles 3.5
Please note that the schedule is subject to change. You will be notified via email should any changes occur.
Event Details
Minimum games: At least 3 games are guaranteed to be scheduled; game minimum may not be met if players withdraw last minute.
Check-In: Players must check in 30 minutes before their event starts. Otherwise, they might be withdrawn.
Tournament Balls: Balls will be provided and available at the registration desk; players must return balls after each match. We will be playing with Selkirk S1 balls.
Warm Up: Up to 5 minutes for first match of the day; up to 2 minutes for any additional matches. Open courts can be used for warm-up before the tournament starts.
Registration: Each player is responsible for his or her own registration. The registration is made of three parts: a base registration fee (which increases as we get closer to the tournament); a per event event; and a technology fee for pickleballbrackets.com.
Rules
Registration & Payment: Players/teams will be placed on the waitlist if payment is not received within 48 hours of registering.
Players without a partner: Players without partners will be moved to the waitlist 3 weeks before registration closes.
Sign up rules: Players may sign up for multiple events the same day as long as the start times do not overlap.
Skill level: Select a category that aligns with your past performance (e.g., don't play in a lower category if you medaled in a higher one). Players can play in higher levels. Tournament directors may move players to the appropriate skill level if they register for a lower one.
Tournament Rules: USAPA rules apply (https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/). Ask questions or report violations at the tournament desk. Tournament director reserves the right to interpret/modify USAPA rules for specific scenarios.
Paddle concerns: Report to the tournament desk. Opponents should be notified before the match if possible. Due to the amateur nature of the event, players will be given the opportunity to switch paddles (or forfeit) instead of automatic forfeit for non-approved paddles.
Referee: Players monitor calls; staff available for assistance with rules at the tournament desk.
Weather: No refunds for weather-related cancellations (indoor tournament).
DUPR: Scores will be submitted to DUPR and should appear immediately Report discrepancies to support@mydupr.com after results are posted.
Gender Inclusion Policy: The tournament is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all genders. Players can participate in the category that aligns with their gender identity.

Refund Policy

All entries are refundable, minus a $20 administrative fee and any applicable technology fees, if the withdraw and request for a refund is made 30 days or more prior to the event.
Withdraws made within 30 days of the event are non-refundable.
Please notify us as soon as possible at support@zerozerofun.com if you need a substitution to minimize disruption to other players. Substitutions may not be made in the two hours before an event begins (or anytime after that).

Prize Money

Cash prize to the GOLD winners of all Open Divisions:
- 5.0+ Open Men's Doubles: $400 for team who wins gold
- 4.0+ Women's Doubles: $200 for team who wins gold
- 4.5+ Mixed's Doubles: $200 for team who wins gold
Events must have a minimum of 4 teams for a cash prize. For events with 3 or fewer teams, players will be offered a choice between an event refund or playing the next level down (without the cash prize). Open level events will not be merged with other events.
