Tournament Description
Battle of the Heroes: Police vs Fire is a Co-Ed, Fixed-Partner Tournament where participants will represent police or fire (or other first responder organization) where they will battle it out to determine who is the ultimate pickleball champion. Come play and show your support for police, firefighters, and other first responders as we support a good cause!
This event will be a Co-Ed, Fixed-Partner Round Robin format featuring divisions of 3.0-3.5, 3.5-4.0+. Please register for the appropriate skill level of your team. Levels will be verified by tournament director prior to approving the requested skill level. Exact format is dictated by attendance with expectations of having a Round-Robin bracket play fallowed by play off matches where the top four teams will play to award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Registration is $80 per player ($160/team). **Please note that PickleballBrackets.com charges an additional $5 non-refundable service fee per event. This fee is directed through the software and is outside our control**
No outside food or drink will be allowed in the facility. Personal water bottles allowed. There is a full service restaurant and bar onsite for the purchase of food and beverage.
Round Robin: Games to 11, win by 2, switch sides at 6 points.
Playoffs: Top 4 teams of each skill bracket at the end of pool play will move on to playoffs. Playoff games are played to 15, win by 2, switching sides at 7 points.
Timeouts: Games to 11 - 1 time out per team. Games to 15 - 2 time outs per team.
Parking available through the guard gate on Harbour Way or in the public ferry parking in front of the facility.
Additional Information
The "Find a Partner" feature is available; however, if you have not matched with a partner by registration close on 2/12, we will unfortunately have to withdraw you from the tournament and insert a waitlisted team for the event. A team is not considered fully registered until both players are registered and fully paid. Teams that are not full may be moved to the waitlist at any time, dependent on registration demand for individual events.
Craneway abides by USAPA guidance in terms of paddle usage. Please refer to the USAPA to ensure your paddle is allowed!
Refund Policy
Cancellations processed 7 days in advance of the event will be refunded, less a $5 processing fee.
Weather
The Craneway Pavilion is an atrium, meaning wind and rain won't be in play, however, sun can still be a factor! Please bring sunglasses and/or a hat as applicable.
Health & Safety
If you are not feeling well, we ask that you do not participate in the event. If you have been ill in the weeks preceding the event or have been exposed to someone who is ill, we recommend you check your symptoms prior to participating.
